Isn’t this jaavali [Sako Ninna Sneha….] set to taalam Rupakam !? Please clarify. I have the music cd which an album of Bharatanatyam concert by Smt Sudharani Raghupathy, Shree Bharatalaya,Chennai. In which it is sung in Raagam Kapi but taalam is set to Rupakam!
Pl clarify the lyrics as well.

I just checked with my mother – she confirmed that the dance video that I linked is in Adi tALa.
And, she also said it is NOT uncommon that different people took the liberty to tune same jAvaLi in different rAga / tALa over the years.
If you have any audio / video link to the kApi / rUpaka version, please share the internet link, and I’ll be glad to publish the second variation also to everyone!

In fact, she says the dance video is in mOhana rAga and not kApi!
